Welcome to Lake stevens Sideline youth Cheer!

Season Duration:

• Starts in mid-July and continues through mid-November.
• With Aquafest having been moved up from years past, our camp for the Aquafest parade has also moved accordingly. Aquafest parade is July 11th for 2026. Camp details will be emailed to registered cheerleaders. With that, There is typically a break through July before official practices start.

Eligibility:

•   Open to girls and boys ages 4-18.
•   Participants must be at least 4 years old by 8/1/2026 and still in high school.

Team Formation:

•   Teams are built based on age to cheer for the LSYF football teams.

Practice Schedule:

•   Full-time practices start in August after Aquafest.
•   Practices can be 2-3 days a week, up to two hours each session.
•   Schedules may be adjusted when school resumes, depending on the coach.
•   Practices typically take place on LSSD school property.
•   Practices are held outside, in an undercover, lit area, with a grass area for stunting.
•   Outdoor practices are canceled in case of inclement weather or smoke for safety reasons.
•   Coaches might arrange a team bonding event before the season starts.
• Practices days are set by volunteer coaches and may be unknown until June/July. Typically: Mon & Wed or Tues & Thurs. With times varying between 5pm and 9pm. Squad request maybe filled out for specific practice days however it is not guaranteed.

Communication:

•   Coaches will contact their teams once they receive their rosters from the Team Administrator around the 2nd to 3rd week of June.
•   Coaches may use a team communication app or a Facebook page for updates.

Aquafest Parade:

•   Cheerleaders participate in the Aquafest parade every year.
•   At least 3 parade practices are held in the weeks leading up to the parade.

Uniform Fittings:

•   Cheerleaders must attend a scheduled uniform fitting to ensure all uniforms are ordered at once.

Football Games:

•   Games are every Saturday, with times and locations determined by the North Sound JR Football League.
•   Games may take place in various cities, including Arlington, Marysville, Tulalip, Oak Harbor, Snohomish, Everett, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Monroe, Sultan and more in the PNW

Fundraising:

•   All teams participate in fundraising for extras like under armor, water bottles, fancy bows, spirit notes, and end-of-season parties.
